All About Ms. Cindy Mitzel
I was born in North Dakota and raised in South Dakota. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors.
Upon moving to Colorado after graduation, I taught sixth grade in Deer Trail for three years and in Aurora for three years. I got married while I lived in Colorado. Then I traveled to Arizona where I taught fourth and fifth grades for three years. While there, I completed a Master’s Degree in Education at the University of Arizona.
My next stop was the San Diego, California, area. I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades for three years. While I was there, my two children, Nathan and Nicole, were born.
Our adventures brought us to Norcross in 1996. I was a substitute teacher while Nathan and Nicole were in elementary school. As Nicole started middle school, I started teaching full time at Peachtree Elementary. I have taught Grade Four for eleven years. I earned a Educational Specialist Degree at Piedmont College recently.
I love working with children and helping them grow academically and socially. Each student is special to me! Thanks for supporting me as I assist your child to reach their potential.
